A 47-year-old man, Oladosu Dauda, on Friday appeared before an Ikorodu Magistrate Court, in Lagos State, for allegedly destroying a fence worth N3million.
Dauda, whose address was not provided, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and willful damage.
He however, pleaded not guilty to the both counts of the charge.
The prosecutor, Adegeshin Famuyiwa, told the court that the defendant committed the offenses with five other persons still at large on Dec 11 at 9 a.m. at Ajebo Village, Oreta, Ikorodu.
Famuyiwa said that the defendant pulled down the fence of the complainant, Olatunji Oreagba, adding that the defendant also stopped the complainant from carrying out his dredging activities.
The prosecutor said that the offenses contravened Sections, 350 and 356 of Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, A.B.Shonuga, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until Jan 13, for mention.
