The police in Rivers State, on Tuesday, arraigned a 21-year-old lady before a Magistrate Court sitting in Choba Community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state for indecent dressing.

The lady, Blessing Levi, who is facing a three count charge, is also accused of taking a photograph of a policeman on duty without consent.

According to the police, Blessing had in May this year snapped a police sergeant without his consent, and “dressed indecently with an intention to cause disorderliness among members of the public.”

Vanguard reports that the suspect pleaded “not guilty”, when the charges were read to her.

However, the trial Magistrate, Israel Agbaeaor, granted her N100,000 bail with surety in like sum.

The magistrate noted that the surety, whose residence must be within the court’s jurisdiction, should deposit two of his/her passport photograph.

Agbaeaor ordered that she should be remanded in police custody until her bail conditions are met.

He adjourned the case to October 22nd, 2020, for hearing.
