Their Lordships of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Justice Mahmood Namtari and Justice Sanusi Kado today Saturday 19th December 2020 joined other prominent jurists across board to grace the attendance of the 21st Annual Judges Conference organized by the Centre for Islamic Legal Studies, Institute of Administration, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria in conjunction with the National Judicial Institute at A.B.U Hotels Kongo Campus.

The Judicial Institute serves as the principal focal point of judicial activities relating to the promotion of efficiency, uniformity and improvement in the quality of judicial services in the superior and inferior courts in Nigeria.

This year theme centred on “Application of the Doctrine of Hauzi (Prescription) in the Shari’a & Area Courts: Challenges and Prospect”.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Tanko Muhammed was the chairman of the occasion while the Executive governor of Kaduna, Mallam Nasir Elrufai was the special guest of honour.

In his remark, the Chief Host, Prof. Kabir Bala who is also the Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University described the judiciary as the stabilizing unit, expressed optimism that the essence of the conference will yield better understanding of the subject matter for benefit of the society, and wished all the attendees a successful and fruitful deliberation.
