The Federal Government has asked all civil servants from below Grade Level 12 to resume duties from Monday, October 19, 2020.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 Pandemic, Boss Mustapha, disclosed this on Thursday during a media briefing in Abuja.

He said this was part of steps to relax imposed restrictions in the third phase of the national response as approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to him, other measures in the new move to relax restrictions include the gradual and safe reopening of schools and the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) camps as well as recommencement of sporting leagues involving outdoor activities.

He, however noted the earlier imposed night curfew from 12am to 4am would remain.

On the resumption of civil servants from below Grade Level 12, Mustapha noted the PTF would advise the various offices to consider alternating office attendance among lower level staff.

Providing further clarifications on the new guidelines, the National Coordinator of the PTF, Sani Aliyu, said Nigeria is maintaining the phase three of the national response with some modifications.
