An Osogbo Magistrates’ Court sitting has remanded a 35-year-old man, Monsuru Lukman, for driving recklessly and also causing obstruction by parking at an unauthorized place.

Lukman pleaded not guilty to the charge against him.

According to the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Jacob Akintunde, the accused committed the offence at Dada Estate, Osogbo at about 4:45 pm on September 29, 2020.

He also disclosed to the court that the accused drove one Coaster Bus with registration number YA 635 EPE without roadworthiness.

The inspector said that the offence is contrary to and punishable under Sections 146, 18 Cap 146 Vol II Law of Osun State and Section 155 Amendment of RTA of Nigeria 2015.

The Defence Counsel, however, prayed that the court grants the accused bail in most liberal terms.

In his ruling, Magistrate Modupe Awodele ordered that the accused be remanded at Ilesa Correctional Centre.

The case was adjourned till October 8, 2020.
