The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, on Monday advised newly-appointed judges of High Courts and Kadis of Sharia Courts to shun gratification in all forms in the discharge of their duties.
The CJN gave the charge while declaring open the 2020 Virtual Induction Course for newly-appointed judges and Kadis organized by the National Judicial Institute in Abuja.
The CJN urged the judicial officers to be proactive and innovative towards minimizing the persistent delay in the administration of justice.
In her address, the Administrator of NJI, Justice Rosaline Bozimo (retd.), said the course was aimed at adequately equipping the new judges for the challenges on the higher bench.
