Legal Practitioner and the Past National Welfare Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Ade Adegbite, on Saturday felicitated with the newly elevated Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) for the year 2020.

Mr. Adegbite congratulatory message was contained in a statement made available to Law Reporters correspondent early morning on Saturday.

The Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee (LPPC), was on Friday, announced the list for the successful elevated SAN for the year 2020. Mr. Adegbite praised the LPPC for the good job and urged them to continue with the good work. According to Mr. Adegbite, he said “I congratulate the LPPC for this positive trend”.

However, Mr Ade also congratulates his friends that made the list. Among them are Biola Olagunju, Rasheed Adegoke and Richard Ahonaruogho.

The statement was titled “Ade Adegbite Congratulates Newly Elevated Senior Advocate of Nigeria for 2020”.

 

 

 

His statement read: “I congratulate all the newly approved silk designates. This is really a special dispensation. That over 70 applicants successfully scaled through the rigorous screening process is a good development and I congratulate the LPPC for this positive trend. I hope and pray it will be sustained. I am super elated seeing the names of many of my big brothers and senior colleagues, many close friends and academic scholars on the list. I feel so proud of all of them and pray that they shall live to be sworn in December; and may they always honour the silky robe and be Blessings to the Legal Profession and its members.

I also pray most fervently, that those who did not make it this year will by the Grace of God be successful next year. I must specially celebrate these my ‘egbons’ and friends: Obafemi Adewale, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, Prof. Oyelowo Oyewo, Taiwo Kupolati, Chief Richard Oma Ahonaruogho, Babatunde Ogala, Olusegun Fabunmi, Aare Biola Olagunju, Oluseun Abimbola, Rasheed Adegoke, Abulwahab Mohammed and not forgetting my dear sisters Oluwatoyin Bashorun, Funmi Quadri and Boma Alabi. I also celebrate my dear friends Mazi Afam Osigwe, Chukwuka Ikwuazom, Oladapo Akinosun, Dada Awosika and the youthful Prof. Damilola Olawuyi, whose exploits at early age deserves special commendation. May the aspirations of all those who desire the privilege and work towards it become a reality in good time. Congratulations to all Senior Advocate of Nigeria designates.
